This is the band’s second full length and it shows. The Summer Pledge has grown into a beast that can knock you on the floor using a jujitsu of blazing fast riffs and rhythms. What really impressed me about this record, though, is how they have matured into a band that can captivate you from the beginning to end of the record. The vocals ride on catchy melodies that grab you and get immediately stuck in your head. In this case, let em roll around in there for a bit because it’s not just some superficial Top 10 bullshit. The lyrics are poignant, current and hold real substance in a day where these things are hard to find. If you have seen this band play live before, then I don’t need to tell you how incredibly hard every member of this band can shred. On this record, Jeremy and Dustin are doing things I’ve personally never seen done on a guitar… from the tandem shredding to the weirdest sounds you have ever heard a guitar make. Powered by Andrew Davis and Rob Wilson, The Summer Pledge’s stampeding rhythm section that has grown tighter than a damn metronome… The Summer Pledge has truly become a well oiled machine on this record.

Last but not least, this 100 year old shack that I started paying on five years ago is finally payed off this month!! Special thanks to my band mate Robbie Budai for sticking it out with me here through the thick and thin. We straight up lived in squalor for years with no running water, just a hole in the bathroom to piss in and no heat for the first winter. He lived through it all with me helping me literally build this place from the ground up. From putting in a brand new roof and skylights to dry walling, and building an entire new bathroom, he was there for me every step of the way. So come out and celebrate with us!!! I think I gave ya enough damn reasons
